Microdermabrasion is non-surgical. The procedure does remove the outer layer of skin and may leave the skin slightly red and with increased sensitivity, but when performed by an experienced aesthetician, microdermabrasion is not painful for most of our patients.
Some of our patients with sensitive skin do request a topical anesthetic for extra comfort. Under the Clouds Dental Spa has a doctor available to deliver anesthetics. We want you to enjoy yourself and be comfortable when you come in to see us, so pain is never an issue you need to worry about.
Microdermabrasion works on the outer layer of skin, which causes results to be more temporary than many of our other anti-aging treatments but also means that repeated treatments penetrate deeper and deeper for improving results.
We recommend waiting at least 21 days between treatments to allow the skin to rejuvenate itself, as well as combining with other nutrients to help the skin recover effectively and youthfully.
