Dermarolling uses a simple device to create tiny punctures in the top layer of skin without breaking the skin, punctures so small you barely feel them being made.

Even though these punctures are superficial, they greatly facilitate anti-aging treatments while stimulating natural regenerative processes.

As of August 2017, Realself reported that 90% of patients across the country considered dermarolling “worth it.” Under the Clouds patients are even more satisfied than that because this treatment is low pain and high reward.

The result is a perforated outer surface, which allows the application of any topical treatment, like PRP, anti-aging serums or vitamin-rich formula. The punctures in the outer layer facilitate the penetration of crucial nutrients or growth factors to deep tissue, where they greatly enhance the regenerative effects of treatment.

Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy because as you might guess, it induces the production of collagen and collagen’s lesser-known sister protein, elastin. The small punctures cause the skin to adapt to the change, producing these proteins to fill in the holes we produced. However, the “punishment” in this case is greater than the “crime,” and our skin produces more protein than we took away with the treatment, causing skin to volumize, tightening over fine wrinkles, cellulite and stretch marks, ultimately resulting in smoother, younger, healthier skin.
